One of the goals we have at Project Ember Initiative is to break through some of the stereotypes and stigmas that keep people from seeking help. A common misnomer is that people who go to therapy are “crazy” or have some type of serious disorder when the truth is, we are all faced with situations or changes in life where we could use a little extra support. While it is true that we at Project Ember Initiative work with issues such as Bi-Polar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dissociation, Phobias, and much more, the reality is that most clients seeking services struggle with ongoing stressors such as anxiety, depression, grief, and overall sense of value and purpose.
