My name is Darci Nealeigh, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I earned my master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from UCCS. Prior to my decision to become an LPC I worked for over a decade with cross-cultural families and individuals, inspired by my own cross-cultural experiences and growing up overseas.
I have moved many times throughout my life and have found myself settled in this beautiful mountain back drop. I enjoy time with my friends, spending time outside, yoga and taking care of my plants, and of course, relaxing on the couch with a good show to stream. I really enjoy traveling and seeing new places and spending time with the people I love.
I have been fortunate in my career to engage with a variety of human experiences and spent significant time working with addiction related issues. I hold a certificate in EMDR and specialize in trauma work, and work with a variety of other issues, using several different approaches. I believe that suffering is part of the human experience, and it is incredibly important to be in relationships that are safe and non-judgmental as we grow and seek healing. My practice style is highly relational, strength-based, and I offer positive encouragement, empowerment and support. I believe in the holistic model of growth and healing and addressing various aspects of our lives to promote wellness. I offer honesty and compassion along with directive challenging around areas that feel compromising to growth. I am committed to the hard work and invested in truly knowing and understanding, and it truly is an honor for me.
You can expect our first session to be a time where we get to know each other, where you can share your story, your hopes and fears, your goals, and any concerns around your time in therapy.
